Participate in planning CWF’s future!
Our Objectives
1. To increase understanding of the mission and objectives of agencies and organizations in the community that serve to promote community welfare.
State the mission of the organization and introduce Board Members at each monthly meeting.
Conduct agency round-robin introductions at each monthly meetings.
Disseminate information through email messages, monthly meeting invitations, and special alerts.
2. To develop a network of professional providers who serve to empower residents of Summit County.
Create list-serve of providers, including agency name and contact person/s.
3. To study and better understand community needs.
Plan monthly (in-person luncheon or virtual remote) meeting schedule, September through May (9 meetings).
Organize a list of community speakers for each month who will address a current community need.
Create and contribute a college book scholarship to a Summit County Senior who intends a career in a helping profession.

Our Monthly Meetings
Luncheon meetings begin at 11:45 a.m. on the third Wednesday of the month from September through May. Our meetings used to be located at the First Congregational Church, 292 E Market Street, Akron. All of our meetings are now online through Google Meet until further notice. We hope to have in person meetings again soon!
There are no meetings June through August. Before the speaker begins, guests have an opportunity to introduce themselves and make announcements about their respective organizations.
